TIG Welding Fundamentals Program

Our TIG Welding Fundamentals Program was developed because tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding – also known as gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) – is a commonly used welding process that has become a popular choice when high-quality precision welding is required. This TIG welding program is based on the CWB Group's Learning Resources national welding program and provides you with the knowledge and skills you need to operate TIG welding equipment. Learn to perform basic welding operations using current TIG welding practices.

Completion Details

Once you have completed all the requirements of this program, you can request to receive a certificate of completion using the department contact information on this web page. Program graduates can register for flat, horizontal, vertical, and/or overhead position welding testing held on-site at George Brown College's CWB accredited test centre. Exams are overseen by the CWB Group, and the CWB Group will issue the appropriate welding ticket/licence if an exam is passed.
