    Sameh Aly

Sameh Aly has more than 17 years of experience in architectural design. He possesses a doctorate in architectural engineering from Cairo University, and he has taught architecture courses at universities in Egypt and Saudi Arabia. He has attended several international architectural conferences in both the United States and the Middle East. Sameh is currently working in the architectural field in Canada and is an Architect member with the Ontario Association of Architects. He has designed a number of projects within the greater Toronto area (GTA), and this work was what first exposed him to the GTA’s green building requirements, especially the Toronto Green Standard. His interest in a green building approach to construction led him to acquire the LEED Accredited Professional Building Design and Construction (LEED AP BD+C) certification from the Green Building Certification Institute as well as membership in the Canadian Green Building Council. Over the last few years, Sameh has worked as a LEED consultant and has acquired a lot of experience verifying that LEED requirements are met in both the design and construction stages.
