    Biography:

    Paul Jonas has over 20 years of commodity taxation compliance, audit and advisory experience in corporate taxation department environments, for both the financial and telecommunication industries. He is the Senior Manager (Taxation, Indirect Taxes) for the Bank of Montreal, and leads and sustains a high-performing team responsible for the servicing of the bank and its group of companies on matters related to commodity taxation. Paul holds both his Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and Certified General Accountant (CGA) designations. He has completed the In-Depth Tax (Parts I and II) and In-Residence Goods and Services Tax courses offered by Chartered Professional Accountants Canada (formerly CICA), and attends their Commodity Taxation Symposium yearly. Paul has taught auditing, taxation, statistics and accounting courses for the Certified General Accountants of Ontario, Centennial College and George Brown College. He has also taught Certified Financial Planning (CFP) courses in income tax, risk and retirement planning, wealth planning and estate planning.
