    Biography:

Pat Nassis is a consultant who specializes in security audits and threat and risk assessments for both public and private organizations (including high-security facilities). In 2012, she retired from the Toronto Police Service, where she had served as a sergeant in the Emergency Management and Public Order unit, which focused on the risk assessment and protection of Toronto’s critical infrastructure sectors. That role gave her the opportunity to be part of the incident management systems of a number of large-scale events within the City of Toronto. In addition to her Bachelor of Arts (BA) in criminal justice and public policy from the University of Guelph, Pat has completed three George Brown College Continuing Education certificates: the Emergency Management Certificate, the Incident Command Management Certificate and the Emergency Exercise Design Certificate. (The Emergency Exercise Design Certificate is no longer offered, but individual courses are available.)
