Special Effects Makeup Camp FASH 9278

On Campus

Our Special Effects Makeup Camp is an intensive one-week camp for young people (ages 13 to 16) who are interested in exploring the world of character creation and special effects makeup artistry. This camp teaches young people to apply special effects makeup using professional products in our well-equipped special effects lab and is led by professional makeup artists with years of experience in film and television. Participants learn to execute a variety of effects (including cuts, abrasions, bruising, scabs, scars, and black eyes) and explore the techniques used to create realistic zombies, aliens, and other creatures. Taking inspiration from popular entertainment, participants also get to create fantasy looks using airbrush techniques and 3D effects. Participants can look forward to the chance to apply their newly acquired makeup skills in a photoshoot.

The camp will be limited to 12 participants to ensure individualized attention.
