OntarioLearn description: Students explore the main concepts of predictive analytics and machine learning algorithms. Students learn about Supervised versus non-supervised learning approaches and when to use them based on the nature of data available. Supervised algorithms, decision trees, Naïve Bayes are presented and discussed in this course. Students are introduce to other topics for preparing train/test data, and generating confusion matrixes. Through lab exercises using Weka, R and/or SAS students generate predictive models and machine learning algorithms.
