Plumbing - Practical Applications BLDG 9253 Email to a Friend Our Plumbing - Practical Applications course provides hands-on experience in joining pipes and pipe fittings. Learn various piping and fitting types and how they are used in typical plumbing systems for single-family dwellings. Use your mathematical skills to measure, cut and join plumbing pipe and fittings. Practice using branch fittings for plumbing stacks, wastes and vents. Work with different pipe materials such as plastic drains, water pipe and copper pipe. Understand how to thread pipe of different materials and how to set plumbing fixtures. Note(s) You will be required to provide and wear your own CSA-approved safety footwear and protective eyewear while in shop areas. Prerequisite(s) You must have completed our BLDG 9254 Mathematics for Plumbers and Pipefitters course or an approved equivalent.
