Plans Examinations BLDG 9287 New Email to a Friend Our Plans Examinations course is an introduction to reading and interpreting construction drawings for those interested in performing the plans examination function as a building official. Study architectural working drawings in order to understand the importance of building component co-ordination as well as the interdependency of structural, electrical and mechanical systems. Develop a knowledge of how drawings must be prepared for building permit applications, and learn how to relate the information contained on the drawings/specifications to the Building Code. Note(s) You must bring a copy of the 2012 Building Code Compendium and the Plans Examinations Participant Manual to the first class. The compendium and manual are both available for purchase at the George Brown College bookstore (either on campus or online).
