• Pharmacy Assistant Certificate

    Our Pharmacy Assistant Certificate is designed to help you develop the knowledge and skills you need to work in a variety of pharmacy settings (hospital, community, retail). The focus is placed on pharmacy fundamentals, relevant laws, communication skills, prescriptions, math skills, business management and employment strategies. This certificate reflects the current trends and practices in pharmacy assisting in Canada and uses an interprofessional, collaborative, client/customer-focused approach. Current research and best practices provide the foundation for learning.

    Advanced Standing

    This certificate can provide an excellent foundation for bridging into a pharmacy technician program.

    Completion Details

    We would advise you to complete our PHAR 9014 Pharmacy Foundations and Law course before you take the other courses in this certificate. However, the order in which you complete the course requirements is only restricted by course prerequisites.

    Compulsory Courses (Six)

    There are no classes currently scheduled for the courses in this certificate. Classes for the 2020-21 academic year (September 2020 through August 2021) will be open for registration in early July. Check back at that time to register.
