Payroll Fundamentals I FIN 9016 Email to a Friend Through our Payroll Fundamentals I course, learn to apply payroll legislation and calculate all components of individual pay (from remuneration, through deductions, to net pay) for both regular and irregular situations. Acquire the knowledge and skills needed to effectively communicate all aspects of the individual pay calculation process to both internal and external stakeholders. In addition, learn to accurately complete records of employment. Note(s) This course is equivalent to the Payroll Fundamentals 1 course offered by the Canadian Payroll Association (CPA). A passing grade of C (65%) is required in order for this course to be accepted by the CPA towards the Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification. You must register in and pay for this course at George Brown College and register with and pay a separate course fee to the CPA. You must register with the CPA and pay the applicable CPA fees no later than 10 business days prior to the course start date in order to ensure the timely delivery of printed course materials and access to online materials.
