Part 9 Buildings Fire Protection BLDG 9242 Email to a Friend Our advanced Part 9 Buildings Fire Protection course is a detailed technical course. This building code course deals with the design and verification of fire-resistance ratings as found in Division B, Part 9, of the Ontario Building Code. The curriculum covers fire protection; means of egress; exit facilities; suppression methods; fire separations; and the separation of major occupancies, service spaces and exits, including penetrations of fire separations. Note(s) Course Essentials: You must bring a copy of the 2012 Building Code Compendium and the Part 9: Buildings – Fire Protection technical manual to the first class. The compendium and manual are both available for purchase at the George Brown College bookstore (either on campus or online). (You must have your confirmation of registration to purchase the Part 9: Buildings – Fire Protection technical manual from our bookstore.)
