Middle Eastern Cooking HOSF 9460 New Email to a Friend The Middle East is renowned for a rich, extended culinary tradition and history. Various cultures have influenced culinary traditions in the region throughout history, which has resulted in many unique techniques and colourful, aromatic dishes with diverse flavours. Our Middle Eastern Cooking course teaches you dishes from this incredible culinary heritage using such distinctive ingredients as olives, olive oil, saffron, nuts, grains, cheese, dates, herbs and spice blends. Learn such recipes as za'atar, tabbouleh, falafel, shish taouk, baba ghanoush, pita, baklava, mint tea and more. Note(s) Course Essentials: You must bring your full George Brown chef uniform, black safety shoes (non-slip and steel toe) and tools to the first class. Prerequisite(s) You must have completed our HOSF 9088 Culinary Arts 1 course or our HOSF 9473 Culinary Arts 1 course. (An approved equivalent is also acceptable.)
