CWB Welding Certification Exam (Three Positions) EX 9008 New Email to a Friend The Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) certifies all structural welders in Canada. Our CWB Welding Certification Exam (Three Positions) is intended for those who are seeking a CWB structural welding ticket in the flat, horizontal and vertical positions for one of the following processes: shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW) or gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW). Note(s) You must register at least 30 days prior to the scheduled exam date as exam material are special ordered. (No refund will be provided if you do not attend your scheduled exam.) You must present photo identification at the exam. If you need to withdraw or transfer to another section, you must do so a minimum of 10 business days prior to the original exam or you will forfeit the exam fee. You must successfully pass the flat and horizontal positions before testing for the vertical position. Testing is valid for one process only. Welders in Canada are required to be retested every two years by the CWB.
