• Condominium Law ACMO 9001

    Our Condominium Law course addresses all aspects of the law and documents that govern condominiums. Examine the Condominium Act (1998) in detail, and explore related governance, including declarations, bylaws and rules. Learn about how and when to use lawyers and other professionals and how to discuss and explain legal documentation and find legal information. Discuss additional legislation affecting condos such as the Canadian Human Rights Act, the Occupational Health and Safety Act, contract law, and agency law and litigation.


    Course Essentials:

    You will be required to purchase an ACMO textbook. ACMO textbooks can be purchased at the George Brown College bookstore (either on campus or online).


    To make sure you have the textbook in time for the first class, you must register at least two weeks before the first class. Timely delivery of textbooks cannot be guaranteed if you register any closer to the start date.

    RCM Exam:

    This is one of four condominium management courses that will prepare you to write the Registered Condominium Manager (RCM) exam administered by the Association of Condominium Managers of Ontario (ACMO). Visit the Condominium Management Certificate web page for more information about the RCM designation and the provincial condominium manager’s license overseen by the Condominium Management Regulatory Authority of Ontario (CMRAO).
