    Our College English course teaches you effective strategies to inform and persuade. Study models for planning and organizing what you are going to communicate, and apply those models in a variety of situations. Acquire techniques for improving critical thinking, researching and self-editing. Also check out our in-class College English course.


    Course Delivery Method:

    This is an online course. Make sure you are familiar with the basic technology requirements for online courses.

    Final Exam:

    The final exam for this course is held at our St. James Campus in Toronto, Ontario. If you live too far away to come to that campus, email celiberal@georgebrown.ca to arrange to have your exam supervised by an approved test centre.


    You must have completed our ENGL 1030 Skills for College English course or you must complete the General English Assessment and score high enough to be assigned to College English. (You must complete the General English Assessment at a George Brown College campus assessment centre.) You must present proof that you meet the prerequisite requirement at the first class. If you have not met the prerequisite requirement by the first class, you will be withdrawn from the course.
