    OntarioLearn description: This course addresses the impact of decisions made by corporations and individuals in the selection of the materials, design and location of a built environment. Students examine buildings as an assembly of interacting systems and the environmental consequences of these systems. Through an understanding of the physical elements, students gain insight into the action of physical forces and their impact on building systems. The significance of material selection and energy consumption in terms of environmental sustainability is examined.
