Baking with Whole Grains HOSF 9435

Our Baking with Whole Grains course teaches you about the important role of milling and how to use different whole grain flours in the creation of a range of breads and pastries. Learn how to use ingredients such as raw sugar, nuts, dried fruit, honey and maple syrup to make a variety of baked goods (whole wheat honey shortbread, whole wheat stollen, whole wheat nut squares, thin wheat crackers, whole wheat challah and more).

Course Essentials:

You must bring your full George Brown chef uniform, black safety shoes (non-slip and steel toe) and tools to the first class.

Prerequisites

You must have completed our HOSF 9134 Baking Arts course or our HOSF 9461 Baking Arts (Online) course. (An approved equivalent is also acceptable.)
