The emphasis is placed on the origin, history, principles and practices of art therapy. However, this is a project-based course, so theory is combined with hands-on learning. Learn how to work with various populations and how to use the process of making art as a healing modality. Artwork, field trips, guest speakers, journal writing and case formulations provide the foundation for learning.
